GA and Myra took a quick trip to our house to check on the progress, while I had to work early on that day.

Projek Rumah Gemilang - Work In Progress
|
|
Ok, so after the defects reported were rectified, we were free to start renovations on our house.
It took us a while to narrow down on our contractor, wireman, plaster ceilings but it was settled eventually based on the best quotes and whom we felt most comfortable to work with.
What we decided to do with the house, after much deliberation:
1. extend porch - alih beam, alih gate, tempat sampah, meter air
2. new gate (sebab dah lebar, takleh guna existing gate)
3. Pergola wannabe (just something to put the skylight to cover the car underneath)
4. tile skirting for the whole house
5. Hack kitchen wall and put in wood frame
6. Tile in maids room.
7. Extend toilet 3 - Includes tiles, window and ventilation fan frame, tukar WC, sink, etc
8. Tukar existing louvre windows at kitchen, room 2 and room 3 upstairs to aluminium window.
9. Grille whole house (biasa punye not wrought iron)
10. Plumbing for washing machine in and out, plumbing for kitchen sink.
11. Tukar window at family room (access to water tank)
12. Buang window kat toilet master and upstairs toilet, replace ngan those kaca tebal arrangements
14. Skim Coat and Painting for whole house.
15. Plaster Ceiling For Whole House (except maid's room)
16. Store Room bawah tangga aka feature wall..
Huhu admittedly we did go a bit overboard, but heck, we decided to do it anyways and worry about stretching our budget later ~ (GA's favorite phrase: Duit Boleh Dicari! -- yeah rite!)

Projek Rumah Gemilang - Handover Of Keys
|
|
Date: 13 November 2007 - How apt, since our unit number is 13 and our couplehood anniversary is also on the 13th Of Jan 1996.
We were two very happy people on that day, and alhamdulillah, the defects were really minor and our developer was really fast in rectifying it.
From then onwards, it was PRG full force!

Bandar Nusaputra - Puchong
This is our 3rd property, but the only one that we will be calling Home Sweet Home, so it's a big deal for us.
Purchased in the year 2006 with our very own hard earned money, and thus, is the reason why we have been saving up every extra sen in preparation for renovations, furnitures and etc. In any case, we're pretty sure it will all be worth it.
